Quill

Client: A content & publishing teamDiscipline: AI ProductStatus: Live demo

AI woven into the writing surface itself, not bolted on in a separate tab.

The problem

Writers break flow every time they leave the editor to prompt a chatbot and paste the result back, and formatting never survives the round trip. Our client wanted AI that lived inside the document.

Our approach

We built a Notion-style editor with AI native to the flow. Type ++ to continue a thought in context, select text to rewrite it in place, and / to format anything. It's built on the open-source Novel editor and the Vercel AI SDK, so assistance feels like part of writing rather than a tool you switch to.

What we shipped

A polished authoring surface with inline autocomplete, slash commands, and in-place AI editing. Fast and keyboard-first.

  • Inline AI autocomplete (++)
  • Slash commands & rich blocks
  • Select-to-rewrite, in place
  • Built on Novel + Vercel AI SDK

What we took away

The win wasn't a smarter model. It was removing the context switch: AI that meets you in the document changes how it feels to write.
